This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach a class of special second and third graders who have differing needs and abilities. Many of them are beginning readers, and they need a variety of decodable books that will encourage them to practice their literacy skills.

Providing my students with engaging books that are within their reach as beginning readers will give them confidence in themselves as they blossom into proficient readers!

With a wide-range of books to offer my students, I can rotate titles in our classroom library to ensure the children stay engaged during their independent reading time.
