This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A bookshelf dedicated to books about the environment, especially trees, can effectively teach children with disabilities about Earth Day. Through colorful illustrations, tactile experiences, and multisensory engagement, these books reinforce concepts like conservation and biodiversity. Additionally, they promote inclusivity by featuring diverse characters and stories, fostering empathy and understanding for the natural world.

Teaching children with disabilities about Earth Day through books about the environment and a tree bookshelf aims to provide an inclusive and engaging learning experience.

It fosters understanding of environmental concepts, promotes sensory exploration, encourages empathy, creates a sense of belonging, and empowers children to care for the Earth.

Special education preschoolers are special due to their unique abilities, challenges, and potential for growth. Embracing their individuality, resilience, and diverse perspectives, while providing appropriate support and celebrating their achievements, fosters an inclusive and nurturing learning environment that promotes their progress and development.
