Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Dear Donors,

I hope you're doing well.

I’m excited to share a project we’re planning for our diverse class of students, who come from different parts of the world and are learning English as their second language. Our goal is to create a meaningful and hands-on learning experience for them.

We plan to start a garden where students will grow fruits, vegetables, and flowers. This project will:

Support Learning – Students will explore nature, sustainability, and plant life cycles.

Build Language Skills – Gardening will introduce new vocabulary and encourage communication in English.

Foster Community – Former students will help as planting staff, strengthening connections and leadership.

We hope to start before summer so students can enjoy the full process. Your support will help provide planting supplies and create a rich learning experience for our students.

Thank you for considering our project—we appreciate your help in bringing this idea to life!

Best,

Ms. Barragan
