Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students come from low-income, rural areas. As you can imagine, there are not many extras. That's why it's so important to have a free robotics team. Students who participate in the robotics team learn to code and build robots. Students can join for free in the group.

Students will learn to code a robot in computer language C.

We have created new teams at the High School and need more equipment to let more students join.

During the Infosys Pathfinders Summer Institute, I learned how to use, build and code a robot and this project will give me another robot for my students to use in my classroom.

My students will learn to build and code a robot. They learn to problem solve and work with others. Adding another robot to my class will enable more students to join the robotics team.

More equipment makes it possible for more students to learn about coding and robotics. Students will use the engineering process by building attachments for their robot, and they will code their robot to complete a set of tasks to learn about coding techniques.
