My Project
I aim to provide a copy of each 2026 Illinois Reader's Choice Monarch Award nominee to every K-3 classroom. Each year, I design my library curriculum around these engaging books, and students love them—but there are never enough copies to go around. Our dedicated teachers often spend their own money to build their classroom libraries. This project will help ease that burden by providing diverse, high-quality books that encourage young readers to grow independently. By supplying these books to classrooms, students will have the opportunity to enjoy them repeatedly, fostering a lifelong love of reading for years to come.
