My students last year were creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They absolutely loved hands-on, active, and engaging projects and assignments. They came to school ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to GROW both personally and academically. Truly, they are my inspiration!
Many of my students lacked the academic and emotional support at home needed to succeed which is why I try to make OUR classroom their second home.
Our school is nestled in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida and is known as a Transformation Zone School. The Transformation Zone consists of schools that need more support as we strive to ensure that students are prepared and poised for 100 percent success during their education journey. Within the Transformation Zone, educators at all levels work collaboratively to build strong schools that enables all students to achieve at or above grade level.
As the new year is approaching, I would love to make my room as inviting and full of possibilities as I can for this years kiddies!
My students respond well to engaging and interactive lessons, games, and centers. With the materials listed, I will be able to help engage and challenge my students in an organized and accessible way that align with the State Standards.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement
Most of these supplies will be used during small groups and center time. Items such as the reading and writing skills folder games and algebraic thinking folded games will engage my students when working independently, with a group, or partner. I choose multiple literacy skill games and activities because my students struggle most in that area. Giving the students these materials as well as many I have already made, students will have a vast selection of engaging activities.
