This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come from a very poor neighborhood full of daily struggles that can make daily life hard for even an adult, but still, these children come to school every day with the mindset that they want a better future for themselves. They work hard every day, striving to succeed and doing their best to make their work count and to be more college and career ready. With all the hard work they do, they deserve all the opportunities the educational world has to offer to allow them to thrive in their future!
My Project
Our students will use our laptop computer for so many things. They will be able to create classroom projects that include creating slide shows or use websites to create videos, research for informational and opinion writing, and collaborate on research projects that will including history and science. Also, they can use the laptop for creating classroom presentations and use it for educational websites to strengthen their reading, comprehension and math skills. There is always a need in getting used to navigating on a computer as well as on the World Wide Web. Having technology that is accessible to them in the classroom will help them do that.
