Growing Our Brains and Bodies With Flexible Seating

My students need to grow their brains and bodies with flexible seating, including Anti-Burst Fitness Balls and Kore Kids Wobble Chairs, that help to promote their learning experience.

My Students

My students are eager to keep their brain power and physical power moving in our classroom. I have learners of all backgrounds and abilities, and also (of most influence on these little learners) a variety of home life experiences; however, my expectations for them and myself are set high each year. My boys and girls know from day one that I am a teacher who is there to help them succeed in every way, no matter what challenge may arise. Many of my children will grow up to be movers and shakers, and they exhibit this trait in their current learning as they wiggle about in our room on our journey to success!

My Project

Kids not only need to exercise their mind in school, but also their body-they learn best when they use their brains and their bodies together! My students recognize this and are eager to have flexible seating opportunities in our classroom that allow them to keep in motion while continuing to read, learn, and grow.

They may be young but they know what is best for their learning and they've shouted it out, loud and clear!

They've requested fitness balls to allow them to work their body as they choose, along with working their brain. Some children desire to sit and bounce as they think, others would like to lay across the ball and roll it about as they focus on a task. I am sure my boys and girls will find even further ways to use this tool! We've also agreed that it is important to store these in a way that keeps our classroom organized, so ball stackers are a great system for this goal.

Flexibility includes recognizing the needs of all. Many of my students each year demonstrate that they focus best while moving about as they sit. Wobble stools will allow them to build their physical and mental core!
