School should be a place of discovery, adventure, and never-ending learning opportunities. I strive to make my classroom and teaching a place my students want to be. Hands-on resources are a great way to make learning fun.
My students are all wonderfully unique!
Their learning styles and needs are as different as they are. I strive to provide individualized learning for each of them. They love to spread out on the carpet and work together. I love to watch them learn from each other.
My Project
These read along stories will build vocabulary, increase reading comprehension, and help imaginations soar. My classroom listening centers is a place that my students really enjoy. They love to listen to a wide variety of stories! Every student book that is placed in my listening centers is treated with love and care, and they are thankful for the opportunities to listen to them. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind-I have watched them the past few weeks of school read titles just like these, and I have also asked them what type of books they would enjoy reading. Students will be able to choose books, which will help them continue to enjoy independent reading time.
With these new read alongs, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books allowing them to choose something that interests them.
This is a great way for students to be exposed to correct intonation, practice tracking print, and hear new vocabulary. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in independent reading and listening, and this project will only help enrich their experiences with the printed word.
