Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

In our low-income school district, my students are faced with several challenges in and out of the classroom. Despite those challenges, I am dedicated to keep the learning flowing beyond the classroom. My students are always ready to learn something new and they take pride in their success, whether it is knowing their letters and sounds, recognizing numbers, or just being able to clap the number of syllables in a word. So to keep the wheels turning, my goal is to make sure they have what they need to keep them engaged, excited, and focused in the at all times.

My Project

In my classroom, technology is used on a daily basis to help every student reach his/ her maximum learning potential. It is also a way to encourage those students whose learning style is more effective through the use of technology devices, therefore working headphones are a must to ensure understanding and fluency. I I would like to also add STEM resources in the learning environment to help ignite their Science, Technology, Engineering and Math creativity through role playing or building structures such as towers, bridges, vehicles. Lastly, I want every child to be able to have healthy snacks after a successful day of learning.
