Help me give my students meaningful, real-world learning opportunities. This project will give the students both outdoors and indoor educational experiences.
Our students are creative, curious, and full of energy! Most come from low-income families and attend a Title I school. They thrive when given the chance to learn through hand-on, real-world experiences - especially when those experiences involve nature, science, and creativity.
This project will support learning in both our school garden and classroom.
The resources requested will help students engage in outdoor explorations, environmental science, healthy eating, and imaginative play.
Requested Items and Their Purpose:
Play dishes for the Mud Kitchen - To encourage pretend play and collaboration while students explore soil, water, and natural materials outdoors.
Worms and Worm Composting Bin - To teach composting, decomposition, and sustainability right inside the classroom.
Books for Our Classroom Library - To support literacy learning and deepen understanding of gardening, nature, and healthy living.
Toaster Oven, Skillet, and Supplies - This will be a wonderful addition to add to our cooking cart. So that we can prepare and taste vegetables that students grow in the garden - promoting healthy eating and life skills.
This project will make learning meaningful and fun. It connects science, literacy, nutrition, and social skills - all while encouraging students to care for the earth and their own well-being.
