My Students
I have a class full of excited First graders yearning for every opportunity to engage and take hold of their learning in their own way. Each of my students is caring, fun, brilliant, excited to learn and amaze me every day with how much they progress.
Each day with my students brings new adventures and new lessons that we learn together.
My First graders will one day be world changers in so many ways and as their teacher my hope for them is that they have every opportunity to do so. I see their desire to learn and soak up as much as they can and it thrills me as their teacher.
My Project
As we enter a new year and a new part of first grade we are ready to get our hands on great learning tools.
I am hoping to get these hands on tools to keep my first graders stimulated and engaged in many activities.
Hands on interactive learning is the best way for my kids to make progress, not only are they manipulating learning tools and using their hands but they are also highly engaged which makes learning so much more fun to them!
We are requesting dry erase markers, scrabble letters and the magnet letters that can be used many different ways during our word work rotation. They can work on spelling and creating words with the letters and moving them to see how different words can be made out of many letters! This hands on experience only furthers their love for learning.
As a part of the garden committee at my school I am so excited to get started with learning about planting our own seeds and working in our school garden with my students! I am asking for both fiction and non-fiction books so we can integrate literature into our garden lessons. These books will allow us to explore and understand plants and the garden and will get my students excited to get out and get their hands in the dirt!
Each of these amazing tools can assist my students learning in countless ways and will further their education by engaging them in their work throughout the rest of the year.
