The students in my classroom are energetic, rambunctious, and vivacious! They are eager to learn and try new things due to our schools belief in a growth mindset. We are a Title 1 School, with many of our students facing economic challenges.
My students are good-hearted, sweet children that want to work hard and try new things.
I want every lesson to be meaningful and a great experience that they want to engage in. I want to keep a simple, safe environment that is creative and meaningful for all my little learners. When they are with me, I want to focus on their potential and growth and make it positive so they want to be lifelong learners. That is why we need your help! We need to keep them focused on the lesson and not distracting each other from moving around the room.
My students need to have many opportunities to move and learn. Today’s hottest pedagogies in education – personalized learning – this includes flexible seating. Flexible seating will bring active students into the classroom to choose the most comfortable way for them to get motivated to learn.
Learning begins from the bottom up!
That means giving students a choice in how they sit, where they sit, and what they sit in or on.
Our classrooms are just beginning to move toward flexible seating to meet their needs as learners. Your donation will help to close that gap just a little bit more!
How students position themselves to learn is as different as their individual learning styles. Having seating options will change our students' lives for the better because they will love school and feel success at an early age and have fun while learning!
Both the LapGear Desks and the Balance Cushions are mobile and make it simple for students to move from table to table or sit anywhere around the room to make their own work-space. The exercise ball and ring will give my high energy students the ability to burn off energy, stay in one area, and focus.
