My Project

In the heart of our school, we are nurturing not just young minds, but also a love for our natural environment. Our project aims to bring a live plant terrarium into our classroom, serving as a living laboratory where art meets science, and imagination meets ecology.

Our goal is to create a live plant terrarium that will be a cornerstone for learning in our classroom.

This project is not just about observing the life cycle of plants, but also about integrating art and science in a way that sparks curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking among our students.

The terrarium will offer hands-on learning experiences in various subjects including science, technology, engineering, math, and art.

I have requested a glass terrarium, light, and Zoo Med HydroBalls lightweight expanded clay terrarium substrate.

Students will study plant biology, understand ecosystems, and learn about environmental stewardship. They will also be able to Incorporate technology, monitor plant growth, track environmental changes, and use apps to learn more about plant species. Math skills will be used as students Measure plant growth and analyze the data.

Students will use engineering skills when they design the terrarium layout. This will help encourage understanding of basic engineering principles and problem-solving skills.

Even art will be incorporated into this project, because this is where creativity blooms! Students will sketch plant growth, design terrarium landscapes, and create art inspired by their observations.

A terrarium is not just a botanical display; it's a dynamic ecosystem. It offers a unique opportunity to study life cycles, understand the importance of environmental care, and appreciate the beauty of nature. It also provides a serene and inspiring presence in our classroom, promoting a calm and focused learning environment.

Your support will bring this project to life. Not only will you help foster a love for science and art, but you will also be planting the seeds of environmental stewardship in the next generation.
