Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are enthusiastic and eager learners. They come to school each day ready to get down to the business of learning.
My second graders have come from across the world and around the corner to receive the best education possible.
Their ethnic, racial, socio-economic and linguistic diversity is one of the great strengths of our school.
These students and their families want to prepare for the future with a strong foundation. They need access to the best educational programs in order to prepare to be the leaders they were born to be!
My Project
These leveled books will allow the students in my classroom to fill their book boxes with books at their independent reading level. Students will no longer have to struggle through books that may be too hard or read and reread the same lower level books.
The readers in my room will be able to choose from many high-interest fiction and nonfiction titles that they can read themselves!
These new books will help my readers feel confident about their ability. They will be excited to shop for new books as the library will be rich and full!
These materials will help transform my students from struggling readers to lifelong lovers of literature!
