My Project

Students are often very disconnected to where their food comes from. Often now if you ask a child where milk comes from, the answer will consist of a large box store that starts with a W. Snack cakes and vegetables are grown in the same place! We need to do better for our kids!

My goal is to reconnect students with their food and to learn about how it is grown and harvested.

Not only will they be learning hands-on about the plant life cycle, they will also be getting a healthy snack that they can feel confident in eating. Hopefully this will lead to better choices when their family goes to get groceries next time.
