My Project
Our hydroponics lab is more than just a place to grow plants—it’s a vibrant, living hub where science, sustainability, and community care come together. Students from every class visit the lab to engage in hands-on learning, enjoy nutritious snacks, and take part in growing, preparing, and even donating food.
We need supplies for growing, storing, maintaining, and harvesting to keep our hydroponics lab thriving—and our learning alive.
One of our systems is dedicated to growing greens that are regularly donated to a local community fridge. Another is used for seed-to-seed flower investigations and edible plant studies. Students celebrate with nutritious snacks, track pH and EC data, and learn how indoor farming can help us navigate changing climates. We even use the lab to reconnect students with farming—an essential skill that is too often forgotten.
This lab has become a special place in our school, and its impact reaches far beyond our classroom walls. But to sustain the systems, deepen our learning, and continue giving back to our community, we need support. Your help will ensure we can replenish growing media, maintain our equipment, and harvest and share the food we produce. With these tools, our students can continue to explore science, sustainability, and stewardship—one harvest at a time.
