My Students
My students are young adventurers and explorers. They are creative, hardworking, and beautiful young people. We are a Title I school with 100% free lunch. Our students are naturally curious and have great potential.
My students are very energetic and imaginative.
We do most of our learning through movement and hands-on experiences such as robotics and group projects. My students are special to me because I was once a part of their demographic. It has been an honor to work with kids from my own neighborhood.
My Project
Our classroom was lucky enough to have a project funded a couple of years ago where we were able to build an entire leveled library for our kindergartners. Well, those kindergartners are moving to first grade and, as I loop with them, we will need to grow our library as our readers grow.
The leveled library has been a huge hit in the classroom and we are excited to see it grow and expand with higher reading levels.
Students check out books from the independent reading library for them to use for reading practice and they have loved them; however, our library ends at level F. We would love to get books up to level L to last them all through first grade!
