My Project
We are excited to have the opportunity to work in a Title One school that supports lower-income families. Our students are diverse, with some having developmental needs, including wheelchair support. Our goal for spring is to create an enriching, hands-on learning environment for our Pre-K students. Including a raised bed garden that will be accessible to all our students. We would also like a shed to keep our tools in so we can continue this project year after year.
This project will enhance our STEM curriculum and provide opportunities for our students to develop important social skills and engage in therapeutic outdoor activities.
We plan to grow vegetables, herbs, and flowers in our garden. We hope that this will also ignite our students' passion for growing their own backyard gardens.
