Help me give my students the ability to work not only within the classroom with academics, but the ability to create their own greenhouse and grow their own items in our class garden.

My Project

We have an area to set up a little greenhouse and work together as a team to produce a successful garden.

The goal for this project is to help our classroom GROW socially and by using teamwork to build a garden!

We will grow to increase our social-emotional learning skills and grow to build our classroom garden.

When working as a team to create a garden and build our SEL skills, we help to create productive members of society. We will be able to create job charts, and student “paychecks” with class money, the ability to manage money (shopping for items), produce products, and share those products with other classes or teachers.

This project will help students realize the importance of growing our vegetables for the good of the community. The bean bag chairs and book collections on Social Emotional Learning are to help students grow in their ability to regulate their emotions. The bean chairs are for our "calm-down" area which helps students regulate when their emotions are taking control.
