This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school currently houses Pre-K through 8th Grade students in a very diverse and urban setting. These students often face many challenges both inside and outside of the classroom. Technology is a great tool that can be used to help students get more involved. Currently, my classroom houses 7 computers for three different sections of students. Some classroom laptops, in addition to these, would help my students excel in their mathematics fluency and skills!
My 6th grade students are eager to learn and are very motivated!
Having these laptops will help reach all of the diverse learners in my classroom. It will give the students the opportunity to jump into 21st century learning!
My Project
My district has just started a brand new Math Fluency program that is solely computer based. These computers will be extremely beneficial especially with some large class sizes. These computers will be utilized as a center within our Math classroom. Having technology in the classroom is a great tool in aiding student growth.
These computers will be used to implement our new Math Fluency computer program in order to help students master basic Math facts.
This program will help students who are multiple grade levels behind learn facts in order to start performing on grade level. The HP Chromebooks will also be used to help our on grade level students enhance their skills by using programs such as Khan Academy.
