Growing In Learning

Help me give my students the experience of lab design and hands-on learning of growing plants. The grow lights allow us to grow plants, design labs, talk about photosynthesis, collect data, and make solid science memories.

My Project

I plan on having students design labs twice a year that will involve plant growth. Having these lights will allow me to conduct a lot of different experiments using different light sources. I can also combine multiple dimensions of science such as photosynthesis, biochemistry, botany, and data collection all into one project.

The goals of the project are to have students be collaborative, and design plant growth labs together.

We have close to 50% of our students on free/reduced lunch and a low socio-economic status and high Latinx student population.
