it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students have so much potential, and I want to see them reach it. They come from diverse backgrounds, and many face challenges outside of school—but they show up each day ready to grow and make a difference. I teach at a Title I middle school, and I have the exciting opportunity to lead our student government program next year. I want to give my students the tools they need to become confident, kind, and capable leaders—both inside and outside of school.
The book The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens will be a powerful resource in helping students build leadership skills, develop positive habits, and realize their full potential.
It’s written in a way that speaks directly to teens and helps them set goals, manage stress, communicate better, and make smart decisions. By using this book as part of our student government program, I hope to help students grow not just as leaders, but as thoughtful, resilient individuals who believe in their ability to shape the future.
