My Project

I serve 2nd grade gifted students through the pull-out model. These students are pulled out of the classroom during reading and math differentiation time for acceleration/enrichment. I do not have access to a gifted curriculum, therefore I must search for resources to use to help my students.

Last school year I spent over $100 of my personal money purchasing gifted resources.

I am asking for a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card to purchase additional resources that accelerate and enrich the Georgia Standards of Excellence and help me push my students to reach their full potential. This summer, I was able to have a Donor's Choose project funded and received a $100 Teachers Pay Teachers gift card that allowed me to purchase so many engaging resources for my students. I would like to be able to continue to purchase these resources.

One of the resources that I purchased earlier in the year that my students enjoyed was a "character deep dive." After reading a book, they chose an activity to complete that required them to think deeply about the characters in the story. The activities were fun and engaging, while also challenging my students to think critically. I would appreciate the opportunity to purchase more resources like this for my students.
