This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students will be learning to identify and use all equipment used in gardening. Our goal for this project is for students to learn the skills needed to maintain a garden here at school and then generalize those skills to use at our community garden near our school.
Our students are adult students who receive special education and are working to gain skills needed to lead a meaningful life.
My students are working on skills necessary to become independent adults what ever that means for each one of them.
Our students are working on skills that focus on daily life; personal hygiene, managing materials, being able to follow directions from a boss/job coach, improving self advocacy skills, and so much more.
