Growing Curiosity and Wonderment in the School Garden

Help me give my students the gift of water for their garden because their plants are thirsty, and they need gentle watering cans that will help them hydrate thousands of tiny seedlings.

My Students

My "Greenthumbs" students are so passionate about their work in the school garden! They take pride in their work, and they love to do the dirtiest jobs. They will happily till up the heavy spring soil and flip huge piles of compost with a smile on their face. They move mulch with sweat on their brows. They water their seedlings ever so gently, being careful not to disturb the fragile roots. Curiosity and wonderment grow in our garden. Magic happens in our garden.

My Project

This year, my students worked very hard to create a brand-new outdoor garden. They built ten raised garden beds for growing vegetables, as well as a pollinator garden to study bees and butterflies. That's a lot of space to grow plants, and a lot of plants to water.

Currently, we do not have enough watering cans to irrigate all our crops and flowers.

Because the students have to share the four water cans, much of our garden goes unwatered. These twelve gentle-pouring watering cans will allow my students to keep all their tiny seedlings alive.
