This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have an energy filled group of students that love school! My students have perfected the art of "organized chaos!" They are constantly moving and interacting with each other. This is my third year teaching and I am hoping to foster another great year of as many real-world and meaningful teaching experiences and conversations as possible.

We are a very low income group and are ready to take on the challenges that we face every day!

My Project

In my classroom, we do a lot of collaboration! Group work and partner work is a lot less fun when your team member is smelly or not even at school! My classroom is SMELLY.

Basic hygiene products are necessary for changing bodies.

Deodorant, pads, and body wash can add up quickly. It's so important to try different products to find something that makes you comfortable and confident. Giving samples to my students will make them feel prepared when surprises come and they can focus on learning!

Teaching my students honesty and respect makes teaching puberty really easy come spring time. My students are comfortable coming to me and talking to me about what they need and what they aren't using! These simple products will give such an impact on their daily lives.
