The student population in my school is very diverse. Many of my students are attending school for the very first time and most of them are new to this country. I service 8 different classes within the week and provide a positive learning experience. I want to keep my students motivated and intrigued with new materials.
My students are in need of STEAM manipulatives!
These items will enhance their learning in a fun and challenging way and spark their curiosity in the process. My students are bursting with energy and need hands-on manipulatives to help them learn and grow!
My Project
By exposing the students to these specific materials it will help them become critical thinkers, increasing science literacy, and enabling the next generation of innovators.
STEAM is all about being creative thinkers, and these items are needed to do so.
The Go and Code Robot Mouse will help students learn direction by helping robot mouse get through the maze.
The rock collection will expose the students to some of things our wonderful earth has naturally. Building sets will help the students use their problem solving skills to make a tower stay up and not fall. The rug spots are so my students have a place to sit on the floor. The hot plates will help me to show my students basic cooking skills and how when you apply heat to ice it melts and evaporates. All of these items will help my students solve a problem or create something amazing.
This year is very unique because for the first time I was given a classroom and I want to turn it into to a STEAM lab for my students. These items will help me fill my room and give the students an amazing learning experience.
