Growing a Garden for Earth Day and Everyday!

My Project

This year we had four hydrophonic garden systems in our classroom (like an Aerogarden). It was an amazing way to teach the students how plants grow and where food comes from. This is such a great way to roll into Earth Day because they have been learning about it all year.

My students developed a love of gardening and asked about starting one at home.

We grew vegetables that we ate and flowers to enjoy. The lavender was a great addition to our calming area. We lost a few plants over Christmas and Spring Break because they ran out of water. The reservoirs will keep them watered for at least two weeks! We also need more sponges to plant the seeds and plant food for our plants to flourish! This is a great way
