Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I love my students for their determination and drive. Many come from lower income homes but all see the value of education and strive to learn everything they can. They thirst for knowledge and want to be better.
My students love to work together in collabortive groups.
They love to see each other succeed. At any moment in my classroom you can find another student helping other with skills we are working on whole group.
They are energetic and eager to learn.
My Project
In an effort to better foster a love for learning and reading, I am looking to expand my classroom library. I hope to expand the selections to support all levels of readers; as well as various genres. The book collections I have chosen are some of my current and former students favorite books. When students are given a choice in reading stories they are familiar with they are more excited to read.
My current classroom library has old outdated books with characters many of my students have never heard of.
An updated library will help them be excited. Many of my books have served their purpose many times over and are in need of repair or update.
