Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school garden was once beautiful and full of life, but after COVID our garden stopped being tended to and became a sad sand box in our playground. My hope is that my pre-k class help bring this garden back to life and better than ever! The items I am requesting will allow our young learners be a part of the change at our school while they gain hands-on experience in tending to a garden. The potting soil will serve to keep the seeds requested in great condition for planting. Our scholars will also be able to use the label makers to practice their writing and organizational sorting skills. The spray bottles will help our scholars take responsibility in watering their garden. The Learning Sprouts toy will also help them learn about tending to a garden through their own pretend play.

My hope is that our scholars in this underserved community will learn about a new life skill that can also serve as beautification to our school and community!
