Grow, Learn and Play: Therapy Edition

Help me give my students a carpet, plush toys with books, games and other items to give them the opportunity to learn social and emotional skills while having fun.

My Project

The items selected for my project will help children in a K-8 elementary school grow and learn through playing various social emotional learning (SEL) items. The interactive games will be used to help with learning how to regulate their emotions while engaging with myself and the team. The items used to decorate the office will assist with making them feel comfortable to discuss whatever is on their mind.

As a new staff member to my school, I selected the items for the Grow, Learn and Play: Therapy Edition to help with building a foundation of games and welcoming decor that can be used for years to come.

The children I've been working with have experienced different traumas, so using their session to meet with a School Behavioral Consultant (SBC) will help with increasing their coping skills through play.
