Group Space for Learning

My Project

My students come from many different backgrounds and are placed in one room together. The bond they build with each other is amazing. The children not only learn academics, but they also learn how to socialize.

This year I have really seen the impact the pandemic has had on my students.

Many are behind on academics, but nearly all need support with social skills. I will do everything I can to overcome these challenges for a great learning experience for my students.

Having a classroom rug is crucial. Students will have their own personal spot on the rug during group time. We will use this for our morning meeting, whole group learning, movement time, quiet reading, and so much more.

Students are in class for many hours, and they need a comfortable and structured area to sit. Without a rug my students will have to sit on the ground or in their chair at tables. Having a softly colored rug will create a friendly and inviting area for them to sit.
