This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students love coming to counseling and participating in teen discussions with their peers. Part of my services is conducting restorative counseling circles to address conflict. I am giving my office a total makeover with plenty of green elements of nature and plants.
Students will feel welcomed and have a place that serves as an oasis.
The plants will give the students a unique, welcoming, and nurturing environment. This will help them to decompress and be ready to return to class. A restorative circle in an environment that looks clean, uncluttered, and has natural elements will uplift their emotional state.
Students need a place that serves as a haven. I want to create an environment that is inclusive and inviting. This environment will nurture students to return to the classroom and continue learning.
