Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students are absolutely amazing. I tell them this each and every day so that they know just how bright they are.

I work in a extremely low income district.

Most of our students receive free breakfast, snacks, lunch, and dinner. There is also a free food pantry at our school every month. Every winter, the city fire department delivers free jackets for students in need.

Our students are resilient and refuse to be knocked down. They come to class energized to learn and continue to give their best every day. They are truly amazing and deserve the very best education which includes newer technology and educational programs.

My Project

We need cubbies! Unfortunately, our students do not have cubbies in our classroom to place all of their materials. Students switch classes and have to share desks as well. Purchasing cubbies are very expensive. I even thought about making them over the summer time, but the wood would be very expensive to purchase.

Using plastic milk crates and stacking them in front of their centers will allow students extra room and a place to store and organize all of their materials.

A perfect solution for our problem and one that will be used for years to follow! Thanks for all your support!
