My Students
I am a kindergarten teacher at an inner-city school. I am privileged to work with 28 amazing children who are eager to learn and use any learning tools they are given. My students have a tremendous amount of learning to do this upcoming year, and most of it happens from repetition and practice.
My students like to read, participate, and ask questions!
Working as an elementary teacher in a low-income and high-poverty inner-city district is challenging itself. These pandemic years have been very difficult for our families and students.
My students face several challenges, both in and out of the classroom. Whichever challenge they meet, I strive to provide my students with the creative and meaningful learning experiences they deserve!
My Project
Most of my children come from a single-parent household, where there is no one to stay home with the child if they are sick. My students constantly have colds and are sick, but their parents still send them to school. We are noticing now during this winter, there is a spike of COVID-19 cases and we must try and be cleaner!
Once one gets sick, they all get sick; when a child does not feel well, they are unable to function and can't attempt their best.
I do try and keep my classroom as clean as possible but cleaning supplies tend to be extremely expensive all on my own. If I had the Clorox Disinfecting Wipes to clean the tables every afternoon, the germs in my classroom would not spread so easily. This would keep my students healthy and germ-free enabling them to concentrate on their learning and not blow their noses so often.
I'm asking for Clorox wipes and also Sanitizing Wipes for keeping tables and other surfaces clean.
Having a healthy classroom would maximize student-learning time and maintain the students' attention and focus on learning and not on how they are feeling.
