Gross Motor and Movement

My students need scooter boards, hula hoops, dance CD, balls, cones, an equipment cart and other materials for the gym in our new preschool. We are going to be moving all preschool classrooms to one school.

My Students

Next school year, all preschools will be in one school! We are very excited about this change but are lacking supplies due to our budget.

Our students are all preschool aged and have multiple disabilities.

We have many students with autism in our program, as well. Our students are in either self-contained classrooms, or classrooms that do have typical peers. Our new school is located in the same town but has not been used as an elementary school for many years.

My Project

The materials that we have requested, scooter boards, hula hoops, dance CD, balls, cones, an equipment cart and other materials for the gym, will be used on a daily basis. In our current schools, the preschools do not receive any specials such as gym. Our students will be able to go in to the gym throughout the day and use the equipment from this project. Our students need to keep moving throughout the day. Being stuck in a classroom all day is not ideal. These items will allow for a place to let their energy out!

Our students have been waiting for a gym and a school that they can call their own.

Preschool is a critical stepping stone for our students and with the items you provide, you will be aiding them in their development.
