This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have 29 energetic and curious students. They come from diverse backgrounds with diverse abilities. I want to combine my students' love for Pete the Cat and our writing center. My students will learn the basic writing skills while supporting and encouraging each other through the process.
My students are inquisitive, talented, and have a natural love for learning!
My kinders will beam with pride and joy when they are able to write words, sentences, and stories independently. They will love sharing thier writing with Pete and the rest of the class.
My Project
The Pete the Cat carpet will not only add color and comfort to our classroom's writing center, it will also serve as a resource. Students will be able to use the letters printed on it to aide them in their writing.
The mini pocket charts will hold various vocabulary cards students can borrow to enhance their writing projects.
The Pete the Cat backpack will hold our class' traveling journal. Students will be able to take it home and write about their experiences. They will share and read their writing with the rest of the class. These materials will help our writing become groovy.
