This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My classroom is a self-contained kindergarten class. My student population consists of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Learning Disabilities, and Intellectual Disabilities.
Working with this population can be difficult, but it is super rewarding within this environment.
I teach the most interesting, caring, well-behaved scholars ever! My school is a student-centered environment filled with "World-Class Teachers!" As a team, we are continuously brainstorming ways to evolve as educators, and we are also advocates for family involvement in the learning process!
My Project
We would love to expand the arts at my school. In order to do so, we need to purchase art supplies. We need white t-shirts and tie dye to express our creativity through t-shirt design. These shirts will be worn during their Field Day at the end of the school year.
Please consider donating to our future artists, architects, graphic designers, creators, and overall leaders of the world!
It is incredibly important to develop the whole child- mind, body and soul. Part of helping scholars to develop their mind and soul, is to expose them to the arts. As a teacher, I feel that it is my responsibility to help out scholars grow in all aspects of their being. Our scholars are incredibly artistic, and I would love to provide them with the outlet to showcase and grow their creativity in a safe space.
