My Students

What is it like growing up in the 21st century? Our students are part of a new technological generation. Next year we plan to start a graphics program at our high school to get students excited and interested in the opportunities available to them in the arts and communication field.

We are considered a small high school that encompasses a wide range of students from varying backgrounds.

The campus is small for a high school, but always bustling with activity. Students are good communicators and actively seek out challenges. They are not afraid to stand up for what they believe in and don't hesitate to help those in need.

My Project

The new graphics class will focus on various projects throughout the year. They will learn about problem solving, team work, and designing for a specific audience. Their end project will be putting together and producing a media package for a company, team, club, etc. They will utilize the digital pens and tablets to create original freehand designs for various items such as logos, buttons, shirts, business cards, etc.

This class will focus on industry standard software, equipment, and expectations.

The students will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in the real world after high school whether it be at college or in the work force. The skills learned will be carried with them and can be applied in a variety of situations outside of the classroom. This will be a step towards preparing them to be successful in the 21st century.
