My Students

I teach at a school where many parents struggle to afford things for their children and families.

My students come to me with many needs, including needing help with academic skills, as well as emotional stress.

My students would benefit from hygiene kits that can be sent home with students in need of basic items to ensure they are healthy and clean.

My Project

Some of my students need a little extra support in maintaining cleanliness. Some come to school dirty, unkempt and needing items to help them not stand out in a roomful of unfiltered children.

Kids usually will say what they are thinking and sometimes can be hurtful by saying their fellow classmates "smell" or look dirty because they don't understand why.

Some children cannot help themselves to stay clean and fresh if they don't have the items needed to maintain cleanliness. Their parents may not be able to afford to buy items for their children when they can barely put food on the table.

By having these items at school, the students can get what they need to take home and help them stay clean and healthy.
