My Project
We have a lot of students that hunt in our class, and we raise a lot of chickens that we harvest. Having this meat grinder will come in handy when we learn how to make our own sausage and jerky. We already have a dehydrator for the jerky, and we would probably just make sausage patties instead of making links in a smoker. That can be for later on after we become experts at seasoning.
Learning how to preserve meat for a later time is a great skill to possess for any island hunter and these supplies will help teach my students some basic techniques.
There is always a surplus of meat in someone's freezer, and we will have fun trying out new recipes to see what we like best.
