This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As the holidays draw near I am starting to plan our winter STEM activities. One of my favorite Christmas books is How the Grinch Stole Christmas. One of my favorite parts of the story is when the Grinch loads all those presents on his sled. Somehow, he manages to fit the entire town’s Christmas presents and decorations into his sled. After reading the book I plan on having the students participate in the Grinch STEM Activity!

For our Grinch STEM challenge, I will challenge my kiddos to see if they could stack as many presents on a sled like the Grinch.

The one million dollar question will be, Are you capable of filling your sled with as many presents as the Grinch?

Students will try to arrange the mini gifts on the sled they created and try to figure out the best way to stack the presents on the sled.

This hands-on experience will create lifelong classroom memories. Students will walk into a Grinch decorated classroom filled with decorations and treats as a reward students will enjoy Grinch juice in our Grinch cups as we watch the Grinch cartoon.
