The "Green Thumbs, Happy Hearts: Macramé Magic for Inclusive Growth" project is designed to engage Grade 4 inclusion students in a creative and collaborative experience. Students will create personalized macramé plant holders over 2-3 class periods, enhancing fine motor skills and teamwork. The project includes a "Planting Day" where students transplant small potted plants, learning basic plant care principles. "Hanging Day" follows, with students using hooks or hangers to display their finished plant holders, transforming the classroom into a green space. Ongoing care, including watering responsibilities, is integrated into daily routines. Assessment focuses on macramé skills, plant care understanding, and reflections on the project's impact. The project aims to instill a sense of responsibility and pride in caring for classroom greenery, fostering a lasting connection between students and nature.
