Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Last year, we started the Green Team towards the middle of the school year, and the students at the school absolutely loved it. This year, we are starting earlier, expanding our club so that more students can join across all grade levels, and to a larger location!
With your help, this year we can accomplish our goals of having multiple gardens set up, so our students can learn about harvesting different types of healthy foods.
Rather than just having a small vegetable garden and some flowers, we will have two large vegetable gardens, an herb garden, a root vegetable garden, and a flower garden. With this, we need seeds such as broccoli, cauliflower, beets, and carrot seeds to have these visions come to life. The inbloom hydroponic garden, and the hydroponic seed kit will also help our students learn about hydroponic gardening.
Our students are beyond excited to get the Green Team started this year, and any support will help.
