Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This year our students completed a "Recycling" unit study that taught them how to care for our earth through eco-friendly practices. Now, with summer vacations nearing, I want to send-them off with an activity kit that will connect their learning inside and outside of the classroom. My goal is to encourage them to continue practicing the environmentally friendly habits they learned this school year during their summer break. With your help, I plan to gift them a sand bucket full of eco-friendly items, such as a beach ball, fidgets, seeds, etc. that encourage outdoor play and environmental mindfulness.
This gift encourages outdoor activities and promotes learning about nature conservation through environmental focused activities.
In addition, all of the items I selected for this project were made with eco-friendly materials, because items made from recycled or sustainable materials reinforces the importance of eco-friendly choices.
