Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We have worked extremely hard to allow students to explore and have an all-hands-on-deck approach to science, technology, engineering, and math.

Our students are full of life and love to learn, but due to their their socioeconomic status, they are on free or reduced lunch and many feel they do not know what lies ahead for the future.

We want to have our students feel successful and look forward to their bright future. We are watching little engineers in the making and it is fabulous to see. We have a huge focus on growing our STEM lab and allowing students to have a student-centered learning environment.

My Project

We are currently working on building our STEM lab and love watching their faces light up when they construct the tallest structure using marshmallows and toothpicks to building a catapult to see which marshmallow will shoot the farthest across the field.

We are watching little engineers in the making and it is fabulous to see.

We currently would like to grow our STEM lab to incorporate making movies and presentations. Having a green screen and lighting will allow students to look as if they are traveling across a hot desert to visiting some of the world's most unimaginable places. Many of our students have not had the opportunities to travel and this will allow them to imagine they are there.
