Our school is increasing its population with students whom want to be enveloped in the learning process. Our students love to interact with their lessons to help make a deeper connection to the content.
Our campus has great potential outside for students to learn.
There are natural resources that can allow students to engage in the curriculum through different means. By giving our diverse population the tools to learn through a variety of experiences will only heighten the educational experience. This educational experience is something our students desire and deserve.
My Project
The mission of the FOMS project is to create and restore outdoor learning areas, provide opportunities to experientially teach the science and economics of healthy farming and eating.
We also want to improve the sustainability of the school campus by bringing awareness and educating the community on sustainable practices.
Teachers will guide students through lessons about healthy eating and ways to grow healthy food at home. We will also educate students on environmental factors that can impact them such as water conservation. We will also utilize the outdoor area to educate the community on local wildlife and their benefits and impacts on our local community.
