This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students are passionate, curious, and eager to make a difference in their community. Despite facing challenges in an underfunded urban school, they are determined to explore real-world environmental issues through hands-on learning. Many are English language learners who thrive when they can actively engage with science. To nurture their curiosity, we aim to provide them with the tools they need to conduct meaningful experiments, such as water and soil quality tests.

These labs will allow students to analyze local environmental conditions, make connections to global sustainability issues, and develop critical thinking skills.

By supporting this fundraiser, you are giving these young scientists the opportunity to experience the power of inquiry-based learning, develop a deeper appreciation for the environment, and become advocates for a healthier planet. Every contribution helps create a more engaging, hands-on science education for students who deserve every opportunity to succeed.
