My Project

Each year, I try to make improvements to my classroom so that students have a functional, warm space that is conducive to learning. I am lucky enough to teach at a very diverse high school, and I have so many amazing students come into my classroom each day. Many of them are from families who struggle financially, and I like to make sure their needs are met while they are in my room.

My goal this year is to clear some clutter by better organizing our essentials while adding some more warm touches.

My goal is always to make every student feel valued, included, and comfortable so that they can focus on learning. Students have often told me how much they appreciate these efforts, and they have voted me best classroom in years past.

During the pandemic, our district made the switch to one-to-one devices. Each student has a Chromebook, which creates many exciting learning opportunities. However, keeping these devices charged is not easy. I would like to have a class supply of extra chargers for students who need them, and I would like to replace our power towers, which are worn out and falling apart, with smaller charging stations. This would remove daily stress from both my students and myself.
